Can enlarged tonsils in a 4 yr old cause irreversible behavioral problems? ?
My 4 year-old girl has huge tonsils. Both her ped and her ent said she’s too young to have them removed. I told them I think she has sleep apnea but they said unless she falls asleep all the time there is no way to make that diagnosis unless she does a sleep study and someone so young would probably not cooperate with a study. I am about to follow up with the Dr. because she’s having various behavioral problems like hyperactivity and general crankiness…but wanted to find out if anyone has experienced anything similar.

I have had HUGE tonsils my whole life and it never caused any behavior problem, look at what she is eating, food coloring can have a big impact on behavior.
