OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA IS A COMMON DISORDER AFFECTING 6 TO 8 MILLION PEOPLE JUST IN BRAZIL
I have DID and it is is bad. feeling really out of control and my alters want to come out really bad. I have 5-6 alters. Two are evil. one wants me to get hurt and die and the other wants to hurt and rampage. I am on meds but feel like i am not getting better. I would like to go to the hospital but they take for over night and release me or they say I can’t come in because I have sleep apnea and no medical devices are allowed in the ward. The nurse tell the DR I am too complicated for them. I live on Hawaii and if I want to go to another island they say no, because my local needs to treat me. It is called Area of Care. I want to go to Honolulu for help but nobody will send me or help me. my Psychiatrist is a quack and talks down to me and ridicules me. I can;t find any other Dr that take medicare or medicaid. I need help. The local free clinic is only taking very very sever mental illness because of budget cutbacks and they say I don;t qualify. help me please.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 11 years ago. Prior to that I was diagnosed with Hashmotos hypothyroidism, an auto-immune disease attacking the thyroid. 3 years ago, when trying to DC a med for Fibromyalgia, I learned that I had developed Essential Tremors. Now I’ve moved on to Restless Leg and Periodic Limb movement disorder. I’m dealing with the central nervous system here, and wonder if I don’t have Chronic Lyme, although all tests have been negative. I grew up in the woods of a lyme infested area of PA. I’m dealing with it all, but the lack of sleep associated with Fibromyalgia and the waking from periodic limb movement disorder and minor Sleep Apnea are reaking havoc with my life. Anybody out there dealing with the same mess??? I’m all ears.
I was just diagnosed and afraid to take the drug they recommended due to it influencing dopamine levels and potential for hallucinations and severe obsessions with gambling, sex, overeating, and shopping. there are lawsuits against the company for these life wrecking side effects.
I have been sleep deprived nearly 25 years and on bipap/cpap for 15 with little abatement of the many health effects. I am finanlly starting to get some of the errors made in treating sleep apnea corrected but it will be in vain if I can’t get the PLMD under control. I think they said I did it 175 times in less than 6 hours and weach time disrupts your sleep.
When it comes to sleep disorder treatment there are a number of different supplies this you can try. These methods can be broken down into: Sleep Disorder Treatment
• Sleep Routine
A sleep disorder is one of the most common problems to go undiagnosed. This is why it is so important to try and raise awareness about sleep disorders so that more people can learn to diagnose the problem before it is too late. Obtaining the exact medical data on a patient is an essential part of detecting certain sleep disorders, especially in cases involving Neurological disorders. People having difficulty sleeping must be aware of all the little details of their sleeping habits. They should keep a daily diary and take down their sleeping activities so as to be capable of accurately reporting everything to the doctor. A summary of the times that they attempted to sleep, as well as the times they achieved a successful sleep, will be very helpful for a doctor to see. They should also be able to report on the cases of snoring that their spouse or family member may have noticed. Their use of tobacco, alcohol or other drugs should also be reported to the doctor. All of these things will help a doctor to make an accurate diagnosis.
An especially important method of diagnosis for a sleep disorder is the use of Polysomnography. This is a method that uses electroencophalography (EEG) to monitor activities of the muscles and the brain. It also monitors the heart’s rhythmic activities and the patterns of breathing while asleep. Patients with a potential disorder are tested inside the sleep lab and are also allowed to take a piece of portable equipment to their home for further use. The device monitors the different stages of sleep which the clinician then interprets. The information gained may give clues into the type and probable cause of a sleep disorder.
There are two kinds of sleep: non-rapid eye movement eye movement (NREM) and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. A sleep disorder (somnipathy) is a medical disorder of the sleep patterns of a person or animal. Sleeping is the on of the most important factor in life. The sleep disorder is mainly occured in between the age group of 30 to 50 years and olders. Most of persons must have sleep 6 to7 hours and teenageers are sleep 8 to 9 hours. We have been dealing with sleeping issues for a long time, both personally and professionally. Many people have problems falling asleep, staying asleep or simply sleeping well. The sleep disorder is mainly appeared in men (4%) than in women (2.5%).
Do you suffer from constant fatigue, poor concentration, or memory loss? Do you take naps during the day or fall asleep while you are watching television, driving, or sitting idle? If so, you may be one of over 33% of the entire population that suffers from a sleep disorder. Many people chalk these symptoms up to stress, anxiety, or being overworked but in reality many times they are suffering from sleep disorders without even realizing it.
Sleeping disorders are any condition that occurs on a frequent basis that interferes with a normal, restful night’s sleep. They can be extremely disruptive to an individual’s everyday life and they can take a toll on their overall health. If left untreated long enough, they can cause other serious illnesses, such as high blood pressure or heart problems. Unfortunately, in many cases sleeping disorders are not diagnosed until well after the diagnosis of more serious problems.
Approximately fifteen percent of the adult population is affected by the restless leg syndrome, which is a type of a sleeping disorder. Usually, the incidence is common among males than in females. Also, the condition is often seen in late adulthood. The occurrence restless leg syndrome is also increased in people with underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, varicose veins, and arthritis.
The most obvious manifestation of the restless leg syndrome is to move the lower extremities, the lower limbs in particular. Pain can also be felt during these movements. Aside from pain, people may also experience varying sensations such as itching, pricking, and burning. Sometimes, others would even describe the feeling like something is crawling on their legs.
