well I discovered on my own recently that I have a mild case of sleep apnea, but as far as I know, its only a problem when I lay on my back. Well my mom has the same problem and it’s only bad for her when she lays on her back too. But I was wondering what would be the best treatment for this? Position therapy and/or a mouth piece? I really need help with this because I have to convince my mom that both me and her should be seen for it and treated. Thank you!
I feel like my mind is weak because I had sleep apnea all through school. I am in my mind 20′s and have sleep apnea due to the structure of my body (I am not overweight which is the usual cause). I did ok in school but I just feel like I didn’t absorb everything I needed to. What would you do? I know use C-PAP and have been for a few month and am feeling a lot better.
My husband has diabetes and Sleep Apnea. Can you tell me if you have diabetes can this cause you to have Sleep Apnea?
does sleep apnea cause strokes or heartattacks in time if not taken care of??
How many of you use, or know someone who uses a CPAP machine at night to help them breathe and not to snore?
I am very curious about this, since CPAPs save lives all over the world. I think we all need more education on CPAP machines, and we need to spread the word that if people snore or stop breathing at night, they should have a sleep study done.
Sleep Apnea causes high blood pressure, can cause strokes and heart attacks. It sometimes makes people have heartburn at night, and makes them sleepy during the day. People can become forgetful or irritated. This is just a short list of all the damage that having untreated sleep apnea can cause.

. It is a little bit price-y but hey if you know of someone who can’t sleep and you they have that sleep apnea and are at risk for even death then the price should be covered by insurance I think. Any one know if it is covered by insurance? What do you think of the new device to stop snoring? Sounds like a good idea to me, if anyone has gets more information please tell me. Thanks

Oh gosh thanks so much for making me laugh today. It is funny don’t you think? I like the one that said she was afraid she might actually kill him… and where it says they both snore and even the ones where they say sleeping in another room is cheaper. Oh I just pictured all of us talking about it and laughing our socks off. To hilarious

P.S. is it painful downside of tonsils out? ups for you see i have obstructive sleep apnea.
Did you know that Sleep Apnea is a serious and deadly disease which affects many Americans who aren’t even aware of it? The symptoms include snoring, daytime drowsiness/sleepiness, cessation of breathing during sleep, night sweats, morning headaches, loss of concentration and many others. I have lost two friends in the past two years to Sleep Apnea. Both were diagnosed and refused to use their CPAP machines. I was diagnosed in 2000 and use a CPAP every time I sleep.
