can sleep apnea cause bleeding in the brain can it cause big problems
After reading the information regarding the benifits and complications drinking distilled water over a long period of time, made me think about using it in the humidifier for my breathing machine. Is there enough exposure over a long period of time to be concerned about. If so, is there any other options to concider. Thanks
My 4 year-old girl has huge tonsils. Both her ped and her ent said she’s too young to have them removed. I told them I think she has sleep apnea but they said unless she falls asleep all the time there is no way to make that diagnosis unless she does a sleep study and someone so young would probably not cooperate with a study. I am about to follow up with the Dr. because she’s having various behavioral problems like hyperactivity and general crankiness…but wanted to find out if anyone has experienced anything similar.
My 8 year old son stops breathing on and off all through the night and he snores loudly. He gasps for air through out the night and wets to bed. He is also on medication for ADHD. I have heard there is a link between sleep apnea and ADHD symptoms. Does anyone else know anything about this?
I have been considering Nissen fundoplication surgery for my hiatal hernia, and would like to hear from people that have already had this done. I want to know, specifically, if this surgery improved any of the respitory conditions associated with GERD.
Also, will this place any restrictions on my pilot certificate?
I’ve had problems with my jaw for a long time now, and lately it’s been getting worse. It pops very loudly every time I open. I think it is poorly aligned, and I was planning on getting it checked to see if I have TMJ.
Lately, I’ve also been having problems with sleeping. In the middle of my sleep, I will bolt upright in bed, gasping for air, and trying to swallow. My heart will be racing, as I desperatly try to restart my breathing, which takes about 10-15 scary seconds. I was thinking that maybe this could be sleep apnea. But I do not have snoring problems, I am not overweight, do not have asthma, do not smoke, I’m female, and only 21 years old. I don’t seem to be a very good candidate.
I had sleep apnea for 10 year before being diagnosed and starting treatment. I am now experiencing focus and concentration problems, and they are starting to effect my job. I have been using a C-PAP since diagnosis 10 years ago. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas what to do about it?
PS-My doctor put me on stratera, and I don’t have ADD or ADHD. Anyone else tried this?
I have many symptoms of sleep apnea but my sleep study shows that it is not an issue. I am tired all the time, no energy or motivation. Depression and anxiety are a major problem. I wake up many times a night feeling like I cannot catch my breath, like my chest is very heavy and not getting enough air/oxygen. What other conditions could cause these symptoms?
