the person useing it died and we have no use for the machine. Like somewhere in Maryland to donate the machine

I am 460 lbs. I have Type II non-insulin dependant Diabetes, hypertension, obstructive sleep apnea, and hypersplenia.

I was scheduled for Gastric Bypass surgery on April 5th, 2007 but they aborted the operation due to the esophageal varices. The GI specialist that my bariatric surgeon sent me to says there in NO TREATMENT. Yet my surgeon will not allow a second opinion. Please leave any advice you have.

ive seen these chin straps also that hold your jaw so that you breath through your nose.. are they any good

I have noticed that when he has an earache he has more problems with the sleep apnia..Thank you

I was diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea about a year ago. I was given a cpap machine and I tried to use it a couple of times, but gave up on it. If I start using it regularly, how much of a difference will I notice in my everyday life? Also, does anyone have any tips on how to get through the first couple of weeks using the machine?

just wondering?

Hyperventilation: Is there a cure?

I have had a problem with breathing for 2 solid months now. It all started on 4/17/08. I seem to take deep breaths to feel like I am getting enough air. I have had EKGs, CT scans on my chest, a Stress Test, Spirometry (breathing test). All have come out fine. I have been told it is Anxiety. I have been on Lexapro, side effects were too bad. I have been on Zoloft, did nothing but give me insomnia. I have been taking Ativan for 2 months, I am a afraid I am being hooked, my psychiatrist, is not concerned though. She wants to try me on Paxil, but I do know if being on too many “head drugs” is a good thing. I have also been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and I am on a CPAP. Can ANYONE give me some kind of answer to this? It is consuming my life!!
