i am a 40 year old female who has suffured with sleep apnea for about 10 years or so had sore throats always had nasal problems so on the 5th of Dec I had surgery , there was 4 things operated on my tonsils removed and adnoids, my tongue shaved in the back to breathe better and some procedure done on my roof of my mouth, as with the apnea I was pretty miserable waking up gasping, feeling i was having a heart attack, had my blood pressure riseing up all the time till it reached 223 over 123 so i thought well surgery was my best option, i have heard there are alot of drawbacks but had no idea the mess I got myself in too totally miserable! The first day i woke up with a pain in my throat that was not going to go away noway, nohow, went home after several hours and couldnt breathe my throat felt like it was cutting off my airway it was so swelled up, i had a clicking noise under the back of my nose every breath, stayed up alnight 3 nights now i am dehydrated scabs are choking me please

why do 1 in 3 people have acid refulx?what is causing restless legs syndrom?sleep apnea?asthma?extreme childhood obesity?extreme anxiety disorders?
don’t we need to know what is CAUSING all of these problems?not just research treatments or cures. years ago you never heard of these things, all these ailments that plague us … in the old days, not everyone suffered from heartburn etc – is it the genetically altered foods we consume? what is going on,i would like your opinion on this and any ideas you may have on the subject ……

My 4yr old daughter just had her tonsils and adnoids removed to cure her sleep apnea. The doctor said she had to stay home with restricted activity for 14 days to prevent bleeding. Is this the normal length recovery? Thank goodness i am still job searching and didn’t have to take off any work to stay home. Is it just me or does that seem like a long time?

I have 3 options to choose from and one of them is surgery which is probably what I will opt for as my insurance will pay for it. How long was your surgery? What was your recovery time? We’re there certain things you couldn’t do during your recovery time such as not being able to eat certain foods for example. Anything you can tell me would be most helpful. Thank you in advance for your time.

My husband has gained weight and sleeps on his back, would that have anything to do with the snoring?

Can anyone with central sleep apnea or experience with central sleep apnea tell me if a common symptom is being startled out of sleep? For instance if someone wakes you up, rather than you waking up on your own, if you wake up panicked and gasping for air? Any input would be GREATLY appreciated =)
Thanks!

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea about 3 years ago out of the clear blue sky. I was 38 years old and never had any major health problems. From what I read it is hereditary but no one in my family has this. I hear it could lead to stroke, heart attack, etc. How in the world could such a disease just come out of the clear blue sky!!!! I am totally confused and need to know how to CURE this disease!!!!!!!!!
