this is for those that have sleep apnea. How do you get used to the cpap machine?
I am having a sleep apnea test done soon and may have to use the machine. I had the sleep apnea long time ago but I couldn’t get used to the machine so I sent it back.

I already had a sleep study, and the doctors said I had apnea, but it was “central apnea.” They said I would stop breathing 20+ times during the night. My follow-up MRI was normal. No brain injury, damage or tumor–glad to hear THAT! I am not overweight, and they told me a PPAP or other sleep machine would NOT help me. I would like to know more about “central sleep apnea.”
Sleep apnea is a condition in which the patient is unable to breath for brief periods while he or she is asleep. It is categorized into two: obstructive and central. In fact, the individual suffering from this disorder actually stops breathing. You must seriously consider this point because it indicates the dangerous nature of this sleep disorder. If neglected and left untreated, it could cause death.
